We recognise parents are their children’s first and most enduring educators and carers. Interactions that take place in the home environment have the most influence on children’s future achievement. The role that parents play in supporting their child’s development is key to making a difference in their child’s life.
Our aim is to work in close partnership with parents to complement their approach to childcare, and particularly to assist children with learning new skills. The closer the parent and nursery team work in partnership, the more rewarding the child’s time in nursery will be.
We will take into account your wishes and aspirations for your child. At times, we involve all parents in any internal decisions made about your child’s development of positive strategies in maximising their full educational and social development and acceptable behaviour and manners. The nursery door is always open to parents and carers for informal drop-ins.
Newsletters will be sent to you bimonthly, keeping you up to date with events and special days at the nursery and also a brief overview of the curriculum. Feedback is given verbally at the end of each day to parents. Progress reports are provided at the end of the Summer term.
